José Berasategui Named CEO to Lead Blueprint 2025-2027

GHI Smart Furnaces enters a new chapter with José Berasategui as CEO, succeeding Iñigo Guinea, who will now focus on providing strategic support to industrial projects within the Guiar Group. After more than a decade as General Manager, Berasategui steps into the executive leadership role, aiming to strengthen GHI’s position as a global benchmark in aluminium recycling solutions.

This transition aligns with the launch of Blueprint 2025-2027, a strategic plan designed to propel GHI toward a more sustainable, digital, and connected aluminium industry.

A Plan to Transform the Aluminium Recycling Industry

At the core of Blueprint 2025-2027 are three strategic pillars:

  • Decarbonization: Developing technologies to significantly reduce carbon footprints across the value chain.
  • Digitalization: Leveraging artificial intelligence and real-time connectivity to optimize operations and boost efficiency.
  • Global Expansion: Strengthening GHI’s international presence, building on a foundation of over 8,000 installations across 48 countries.

A Renewed and Ambitious Vision

Aligned with its mission, GHI reinforces its commitment to delivering integrated solutions for aluminium recycling. Beyond supplying equipment, GHI acts as a strategic partner, combining advanced technology, expertise, and support to help clients achieve sustainability and efficiency goals.

As we approach our 90th anniversary, GHI continues to lead the transformation of the aluminium recycling industry, connecting innovation, excellence, and environmental responsibility in every project.
