This year, we presented our new aluminium recycling plant, RECYCALL. It features the newest technology and offers a high degree of automation. Visitors showed great interest in it.
The Aluminium Fair, held in Düsseldorf from October 6 to 8, 2018, remains the top event in the sector, with robust visitor numbers despite global trade challenges. Industry representatives agree that the aluminium rush will continue to gain momentum.
In total, 24,148 trade visitors from 123 countries attended the fair. Countries included South Africa, the United States, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand, and many from Europe. The fair truly became a “United Nations of ALUMINIUM.”
This year’s fair featured 971 exhibitors from 54 nations. Germany led with 307 exhibitors, followed by Italy with 118, and China with 103. Other significant participants included Turkey, Spain, Austria, the United States, the Netherlands, France, the UK, and Canada.
Forecasts indicate that aluminium will remain a key material in the future, showing a strong long-term positive trend.
“Electric mobility, digitalisation, sustainability, and additive manufacturing are some of the megatrends that will boost the aluminium industry,” says Christian Wellner, Executive Member of the Managing Board of GDA, the German Aluminium Industry Association.
We look forward to the next ALUMINIUM Fair, the 13th Aluminium World Trade Fair and Convention, in Düsseldorf from October 6 to 8, 2020.
