On July 4th, more than 80 people from GHI Smart Furnaces left their usual workspaces behind — and met at Boroa, a Michelin-starred restaurant surrounded by Basque countryside.
Why? Because building high-performance industrial solutions starts with something simpler: knowing each other beyond roles. This wasn’t about training or PowerPoints. It was about trust, clarity, and speed — the kind that only grows when people connect face-to-face.
Dynamic 1: Stories we didn’t know
The day began with a round of unexpected truths — where we shared things about ourselves most teammates didn’t know. Not work-related. Not scripted. Just honest curiosity, the kind that makes you see familiar people differently.
Dynamic 2: Egg Drop Challenge
Each team received a raw egg, a set of materials, and one goal: protect the egg from a 2-meter drop. Some went minimalist. Others built airbag prototypes using balloons and foam. The exercise wasn’t about engineering. It was about planning fast, executing together, and laughing when it breaks anyway.
No slides.
Between dynamics, the team aligned around the year’s strategic message: “One Team. One Goal.”
No top-down briefings. Just space to reflect on how every role supports that single goal.
